2017 Nascar Thread

This race was just like all the races this year so far. Exciting restarts, minimal passing green flags, fuel strategy, and too many "nice" drivers

Ugh

 

I mean It was obvious they held back a couple cautions just from the controversy of the year, then you add everyone driving like your grandmother and ends up setting a record for most laps ran at Sonoma without a caution. I can't be pleased.

 

The more these guys I don't like retire, the more the sport is watered down. Too much clean driving because these young assholes actually care about what everyone thinks, so frustrating.

 

Got a great glimpse of how this Charlotte road course is gonna go down, everyone racing 3 car lengths apart from one a other and fuel strategy. I hope Watkins Glen can put on a show.

 

Never thought I would say this,but I miss SMOKE!!!

 

Right? I wasn't a fan of his, but I'm not, not a fan either. Just seems like with every race more give than take. Where the damn Take? I love the 2 car, but you put him close to the 21 or 22 and he will give up his spots everytime. Hate it.

 

Guess it's the new NASCAR

 

It is right now, just a wierd year. I dont expect it to continue for much longer but who knows

 

I loved Sonoma? First realish race this year, pass was made on green for the lead, only one insignificant bullshit caution, there was bumping, don't know where you missed that, KB didn't win, but I loved it, Sonoma always delivers.

 

Man, how many crew chiefs dies Kyle Busch have to lose before that team learns how to fasten a wheel to a hub?

 

Was going to say the same? I thought it was a great race.

 

He had a crap car all day, im just surprised he took it home 5th. Can I be the next CC?!

 

It brought back that good NASCAR feel of real racing

 

I mean if you don't like seeing Clint Bowyer drive a totally bandaged up car to second place, you aren't a NASCAR fan lol.

 

I didn't get to watch the race live yesterday but did just see replay on FS1.Not a big No 4 car fan but it was a good race.Wish the #20 would get going tho!!

 

Didn't say I didn't enjoy it, I did. I just expected more close and aggressive racing. I love road courses in today's NASCAR because it's the only opportunity they have to showcase what this sport was built on. Harvick won by 8 seconds, every car on the last lap was spread out by seconds between positions, that kind of sucked but that's what happens on a 110ish mile caution free segement. Was just boring for a road course race is my point.

 

Bowyer has always been great at sonoma, not surprised there, his banged up stewart-haas car was still better than that 15 car without a scratch anyway, and he brought that 15 car to a win their a few years ago!

 

so does Nascar..in the car that is...

 

it's that time of the year boys... I imagine stages will make it worse

 

NASCAR is back on NBC and I have found the best way to watch the coverage.
