77 isn't going to run unless it gets financial help from Gibbs or sponsors, period.

I agree. It's really up to 5-Hour Energy at this point. They've been in the sport over a decade. If they leave the 77, they'll be forced out of NASCAR due to Monster's title sponsorship. I can't see them doing that, but they're stuck with the 77 as long as Monster is title sponsor (2 years?).

Childress says they're going back to a two-car team. All leads point to Menard and sponsor going to the #21 (ultimate sad-face).

Pretty decent race at NHMS yesterday, started off slow but racing overall was okay for NHMS anyway. Exciting end as well. That should be a mediocre race during this part of the season and has been one of the best this year as far as racing is concerned imo.

Kenseth says he's not in the running for the 88. Most likely Bowman or Byron. Axalta really wants Byron in the car.

Bowman to the 88. Maybe he'll have some balls in the car?

Maybe the #5, keeping seat warm for Byron, like he did at Gibbs for Jones. Axalta to #5 with or without Byron.

Just saw they're adding 2 races to being their total to 15. Nationwide will sponsor 19.

I'm thankful for this announcement. Kid deserves that ride, and it looks like I'll be pulling for the 88 next year.

Sat down and looked at budget and Fall calendar today. Debated Bristol, Darlington, or Talladega this Fall. After considering travel time, ticket cost, etc, looks like we'll be returning to 'Dega. I've got a group of 8 gathered for weekend camping at Mt. Cheaha and the truck & Cup races in the afternoons. Here's hoping the weather is good.

Darlington is a bit pricey at $42 for kids(!) and $85 for adults before "service fees." The Grand National race is better priced at $37 and $17, respectively. Bristol is similar. Kids are free for support race, and adults are $100 for decent Cup race seats. Talladega is bringing back the $60 weekend for Adult+kid. Also, they have the unbeatable $24 Chase Elliott tailgate college special. Granted, those are the worst possible seats at the track (lower Gadsden). Still, I reckon drunk college students don't care.
