Yep! That's the one. I love the that color combination. I was always a big Rusty Wallace fan, and I loved it when he was sponsored by Miller Genuine Draft with the back and gold color scheme.

To me, what used to be called the Grand National division (then they became known as Winston Cup cars, or dimply Cup cars) began to change after 1965. That was the year that Chrysler boycotted NASCAR because they couldn't run the Belvedere body or the hemi engine. Chevy and Pontiac had withdrawn mid-season in 1963, so Ford was pretty much unchallenged. A few privateer 65 Chevies began to run, as the 396 showed a lot of promise, and NASCAR gave into a Chrysler the following year. Also that year, Ford came out with a new perimeter frame, that would become the model for what all the cars would run. More and more of the body panels began to be handmade.

But the cars in 66-67 became my favorites. Smokey Yunick know built a 66 Chevelle that was perfect in every detail...except it was about 7/8 the size of the stock version. But a NASCAR let him run because by then Ford was boycotting a NASCAR. That car was credited with the institution of the body templates and year or so later. Junior Johnson showed up with a drastically altered 66 Galaxie that was nicknamed the Banans Boat. But again, Nascar let it run because they needed the fans hat a Junior attracted.

 

Yeah, cross promotion isnt good because I only care for stock car racing, not motocross or that other crap

Just saw a kid clip a guy and it flipped him out of the kart into the tire wall. It was sick! Guy got back in kart and joined the pack to finish the race.
