Lots of action there. Rather that than the follow the leader all day.

 

Alright, let's talk this weekend's odds:

-Toyotas are fast as a bathroom trip after eating at the Varsity BUT
-Toyota has only won 1 of the last 17 races at 'Dega.
-In spite of his penchant for imploding, Kyle Busch is the most consistent Toyota at 'Dega, even though he hasn't won here since 2008.
-Ford has won all the plate races in 2017 and 5 of the last six, and 7 of the last 10 'Dega races.
-Ford took 5 of the top 10 positions in the Spring event.
-3 of the 4 Fords (Stenhouse, Blaney, Keselowski) in the playoffs are on the bubble and this is a wildcard race. They'll be working together all day, but it'll get hairy at the end if they're running in the top-5.
-Ricky Stenhouse has 2/3 plate wins this season. He'll be looking for a 3-peat and a pass to the next playoff round.
-Penske has won 4 of the last 6 'Dega races.
-Joey Logano won the last two Fall 'Dega races.
-Brad Keselowski has won 4 times at 'Dega.
-Jamie MacMurray is always a darkhorse at this race track.
-Chase Elliott is hot right now and he's on the verge of that breakout win that could carry him into a hot 2018.
-Aric Almirola had his best run of the year here back in the Spring with a P3 finish.
-Kyle Larson and Ryan Blaney each had a dismal Spring race here after very good runs last Fall. They'll be out to prove a point Sunday, PLUS they both need a win to move into the next playoff round.
-If the engines are warmed in NASCAR's black helicopters, the 88 (or 24) will be in Victory Lane.
-The last three 'Dega events have been rather eventful, with 24 combined caution flags (10, 6, 8).
-4 Chevys and 3 Toyotas remain in the playoff along with Ford's 4 entries. We're still evenly spread on manufacturers. Once the drivers are whittled down, each manufacturer will throw everything they have at their top contenders.

My bias:

In spite of my Taco, I am not a Toyota guy. I am def. not a Gibbs guy. I'm a Ford guy. I'm a Wood Brothers guy. I like good, hard, CLEAN racing. I am sentimental and would love to see the 88 in victory lane. I'd also like to see the 78 get the Cup before his gal dies. If she passes, it will rest hard on him for a long time.

 

Keselowski, Hamlin for the win, stenhouse and junior caught up in accidents. Larson and truex finish top 12. That's my predictions.

 

I'm actually picking Dale jr. To win Sunday, that's how I know he will wreck or a penguin will toboggan across the track and wreck him. Some stupid shit.

 

Let's not forget what happened last time Denny and Brad duked it out for the W on the last lap. Hopefully they've learned from their mistake:
