If anyone can overcome radio issues for half a race on a plate track and come from behind, miss 3 wrecks and win, it's Keselowski 100%

Man. With like only 5 other cars on the track, Dale Jr. STILL couldn't win. Did he even lead a lap? I remember the crowd went wild when he got up to second place.

No one was even trying to help junior

Because his splitter was in the pavement and his car was slow at the end. That's all really, he did a fantastic job of avoiding accidents, just wasn't meant to be for him.

Looking at these pics I just feel bad for anyone not close to a short track or at least a miler, being able to see the drivers saw the wheel and dive into a turn almost wrecking is an unbelievable experience. Especially side by side.

Charlotte is a beautiful facility, but it doesn't offer the great racing it did back in the late '80s and early '90s.

Go to Barber in April. It's a great place. Tickets are $35. Plenty of room for tailgating, camping, you can slap up an Eno hammock in the trees overlooking the race track and watch it all from the shade. Concessions are good. Paddock access is affordable. There's like 3-4 races on Sunday alone. Plus, Little Talladega is right down the road, and they have a Saturday night race. There's a free open-air tram service AND free shuttle service from the interstate to the track. It's easy to meet the drivers. There's comparable promo stuff and like 20,000-40,000 people, rather than 70,000+. AND, there's a Bass Pro at the entrance to the track.

If you want NASCAR to improve their product, hold their butts to the fire by supporting other racing series.

I haven't done Bristol. Probably next year. Darlington is a MUST, but the 500 is too long. Sit in turn four or turn one for best view.

I plan to go to less races next year, but branch out. Bristol and Indy are on my BIG list. Maybe Richmond. Short tracks: Bowman Gray, Hickory, Greenville-Pickens.

I recommend Darlington, better racing, better views, cheaper tickets.

Miserably hot. No bath house. Nothing but porta-johns. Mile walk to the gas station in every direction.

Thoughts on next years BoA 500?

The Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL is a daunting, new 13-turn, 2.4-mile road course incorporating part of the infield and all but 400 feet of Charlotte's iconic 1.5-mile oval on which drivers will race 500 kilometers over 130 laps.

I like road courses, this one looks like a good mix. Worth a try.

I feel like they've needed some changes there for a while. Excited to see how it turns out.

Camp at a place called pop odoms, it's like $40 for the weekend, but you have electric, showers, toilets, good people, and can see turns 1 and 2 from your camp spot.

We walked around Darlington from our campsite and back twice before the race. Not hard at all to do, very close to the track.
