If he should be mad at anyone, it should be his teammate Kyle who dumped him for the win. Denny could've settled for a top-5 rather than turning down and taking out 3/4 of the field at the finish line. Then to go on and say "everyone was doing the exact same thing." Nah Denny, YOU wrecked everyone, hoss. My wife is the kindest, most understanding human on this planet, and even SHE said "damn Denny. You're a jerk." Did y'all see that big hoss who tried to fight Denny on pit road after the race?! That dude had Denny shook. How about his home crowd booing him during his post-race interview? Good on Chase for driving Denny into the wall after the race, too.

Lastly, Denny issued an apology, and it didn't appear to be a passive Kenseth, Busch, Edwards-type surface apology. It seemed legit. Still, I've never rooted for that dude.

The taking out 3/4ths the field reminded me of Harvick at dega in 2015... But kyle even said it was luck he won... All he did was stay out of the shit show.

That was a dipshit move by Denny. Never much cared for him but that was just wrong. I think that is just what Chase needed to turn him into the driver I hoped he would grow into. Kyle got a little payback on the 22 and screwed Brad at the same time. The 2 took Chase moving him like a man.

I'm still shocked Kyle won with a POS.

Love him or hate him the man has the ability to get it done behind the wheel. I didn't mind seeing the 18 take that one. Would have rather seen Clint get the win but at least Kyle was up front and drove that race aggressive but smart. Didn't piss anyone off to the point it will cost him in the next three races and quietly locked in his spot. At the beginning I though it was going to be all Penske's day so I was happy that didn't happen but I must say BK is maturing and taking the high road on the track. The 21 & 22 have the typical Penske attitude so F em!

I'd like to point out that this thread has been ahead of the F1 discussion thread all season long. Good job, fellas!

I'm considering joining Reddit for NASCAR. Some youngsters there who are very much into the meat and heart of the sport.

    My pics for this weekend:

    Yota- Truex, duh.
Ford- Blaney on pole, takes the win, goes to Homestead a contender.
Chevy- Johnson slides in and does what he does best.

Man, no comments about last Sunday? I barely remember it either, I guess. Oh, that's right, I was called to the hills to fetch my brother who went off the road hunting in 15" of snow and blew a CV shaft on his '88 Chevy. My FJ did just fine... I heard Harvick won, that blows! Not that I dislike the guy, he and Ford just go together like peanut butter and thumbtacks. Still can't figure out why SH went to Ford of all brands. Seemed like the Hendrick stuff they were running worked just fine. If it aint broke, don't fix it!

On a side note, I still think Kenseth would be a good fit in the 77 car with Truex as a team mate. Turn that team into a littlel power house from CO. Has anyone heard who's driving that next year?

I like Harvick but I am like you. Just can't bring myself to pull for him in a ford. They do not suit his driving style and I think he regrets it. I guess it is better than the RCR stuff he was stuck in. I like Harvick because he is a guy that is there because of talent and not the sponsorship money he brought but fuck fords!

BV said they were not running the 77. Sold the charter and brought 5 hour energy in to co sponsor the 78. Looks like MK is not even going to drive next year. Pretty sad.

I read that too, but it seems like it'd be a good fit, plus he's already used to driving JGR equipment.

It would seem like a good fit, but Kenseth thinks his skills are worth more than they actually are in NASCAR. He's always had a marketability problem in the sport. He had sponsorship issues his last few years at Roush- which is just as much Jack's fault in misunderstanding the value of his product. There's good, young talent waiting in the wings. These drivers from the boom era have to suck it up and drive for less. I'm sure they love the driving part and would do it for free, but it's the business side they hate. All the sponsorship obligations and little time off will wear a guy out. Mark Martin used to call the Cup circuit the Death March.
