Went wheeling without the taco and broke stuff. Just did the Torn Quad Tendon repair mod and need a place to lurk for awhile.
    IMG_1106.jpg

    Truck is pretty stock AF.
I drove on a forest service road once and did the diff breather mod and trailer harness tuck so I can cross the sprinkler runoff into my driveway. I even rock a cargo box on occasion and sleep in a ground tent when camping.

Some of you guys are pretty funny so I'll probably just lurk for a while for the LOLs. Might even sign up for a trip or two so I can cancel at last minute. Nothing drastic, just ease into he program nice and easy like.

    :goingcrazy::goingcrazy:

    Mod day. Newb status.

10k service just came up and I'm too badass to take it in for my free one so here's my write up.

First go to the mall (Walmart cause food court and stuff and I don't live near a mall) and get your bad ass mod oil. (Toyota filter from Amazon)

    IMG_4473.jpg

Oh and wear a badass marlin shirt.

Then take off the oil filter protector.
(Not sure what this piece of metal does but makes getting to the oil filter a chore. I call it a protector like the fat chick who won't let you near her hot friend unless you sleep with her first. Then the hot friend finds out and won't even look at you kind of protector).

    IMG_4474.jpg

After getting that pile out of the way time to pull the plug.

    IMG_4475.jpg

    (Don't forget your safety gloves)

    IMG_4486.jpg

After the plug is out of the way then scramble around and curse 0-20w because it is from the devil. Drained so fast it splashed everywhere and I didn't even get a photo of it.

    IMG_4477.jpg

    Next the aweful cartridge filter:

First pull the weird bottom plug

    IMG_4478.jpg

    Then make tacos
    IMG_4487.jpg

After draining the oil out pull the case off with a special tool.

    IMG_4479.jpg

The do it all in reverse and add oil!

Manual "says" it takes 6 quarts but f' that. Stuff is expensive so I just put one in. Modern motors don't even need oil.
    IMG_4483.jpg

Oh and clean all the oil before the wife gets home cause she'll be pissed.
    IMG_4485.jpg

Oh and one last thing. I saw four of these weird bolts with notches and none of them line up vertically. My OCD would not have it! So I got my wrench out and line up all the verticals notches. Probably a 3rd gen quality control thing, I don't sweat it.
