Hell hole is exactly as it sounds like 1 mile of hell. Its a tough trail a little harder then slick rock but not by much.
I did it with no lockers on 285s only had to winch once as i hi center on a big rock.it was more challenging coming back up then going in.

So kinda like Niagra Rim? Its been a while since I did slick rock but isn't there just one difficult section and a lot of dirt road? I used to wheel deer valley all the time but then they shut it down and I haven't been back since they reopened it. I need to go check it out again... considering I live pretty close.

I think I might check out hell hole this summer. Is the camping/fishing good?

The spot that is considered the hard spot is only the beginning of about 1.4 miles of boulders. We stacked alot of rocks that day. I have never been on niagra rim but hell hole is no dirt rd. Its hard but can be done if you take good lines and take it slow. Lockers would make it a walk in the park, 35s will make it even easier. On 32s it was challenging. You definitely want armor and bumpers.

It runs along side of Hell Hole Reservoir.
You can get to it either from Georgetown, or Forest Hill.
Check a map for more details.

IMHO, whoever organizes this run should do it mostly via PM's and/or direct emails.
Because of this trails nature, its definitely no place for a cluster-f**k of wheeler
wannabes (ie - no real rock-crawling experience, mostly cosmetic mods, etc).
    :crapstorm:

I have lots of experience (with a previous rig), but wouldn't dream of going
with my current rig (31's, long wheel base, stock gearing, no winch) and I consider
    myself a pretty good wheeler.
