Have a Frontier Pro-4x and love it. I understand who Honda is targeting, if I was in that market I still can't see myself buying one. Not shopping for a new vehicle at the moment.

The new Frontier should be coming out very soon. It should be interesting with the rumors I heard: rear leaf springs for the extended cab and rear coil springs for the double cabs.

I've been waiting on that, I hope we get the refreshed VQ40DE that is the new base engine for the Titan and NV vans.

The price difference isn't $20K it's more like $10K from base Forester to base Ridgeline. But there is a lot more tech in the base Ridgeline then the base Forester like all of the safety sensing stuff, auto trans, a lot more interior room, etc. so a $10K price is justified. Apples to Oranges comparison.

Personally I wouldn't want to carry all my dirty MX gear inside a car/suv after some hard riding in the mud. With my Taco I just throw it in the back of the bed and then hose the bed out when I get home.

I hope you are right, I have heard that they were testing the updated VQ35 for the new Frontier for the NA market with a 7 speed trans.
