Cough "poseur" cough, oh sorry had to clear my throat.

So the ridgeline is next to a body on frame truck with a minivan motor? Come on man, you can't be that insecure to actually think that way, can you? Is that why you bought the 4x4 OR?

Real pity that "minivan car based truck" will do more things better (even truck things like oh I dunno haul stuff and carry payload) better than the real truck. So who is the real truck? I promise that Honda probably does more than you need both truck stuff wise and off road "bro".

The regional rep. Was mad at him before he stepped into his office. I would be mad at the guy too for forgetting to turn in his man card when he purchased his Ridgeline.

calling the OP a poser and insecure is wrong- everything else is more accurate but whether that makes the Ridgeline better is up to the person laying out the cash. I like my Tacoma and do not like the Ridgeline- the one most important thing the Ridgeline does not have is a 6' bed.

I test drove the Ridgeline before buying the tacoma and was amazed how roomy it felt inside, their features, heated steering wheel, electronics, power everything. Really remarkable. The bed and trunk are really nice too.

But it looks like an odyssey with the back cut off and the whole shape just looks bizarre to me. I don't like that it's not a real frame either. Not sure how Honda didn't make this look tougher considering all the competition looks are going that way.

When a new Ridgeline drove by me last week my first thought was that it reminded me of a big Subaru Baja. Just looks out of place.

I had a first gen Honda ridgeline 2007. bought it new. I owned it for 9 years.

    the good
it was a very comfortable ride. on the highway. The storage in the bed was great. plenty of cabin room even in the back seat. the all wheel drive was very good in the snow.

    the bad
options/upgrades hard to find when I bought it. was only the second year of production. never thought it would do well wheeling so I never took it wheeling.
back brakes just sucked. constantly stick and wear the pads down. good think they where easy to change. I would carry everything I needed to replace them on any trip I took. I could and have done a rear brake change in the hotel parking lot.

my final straw was at 101,000the engine needed $3k worth of work. It had the #4 cylinder issue. This was before I even changer the timing belt. grrrrr
this is just my experience as an owner of one.
