I've heard that before, It's still nice to have the rear "smoked" glass, at least while you get it tinted... a car with all non tinted or smoked glass just looks odd.

Yes, it`s good that Toyota does something with the rear, I started out by tinting the front and a month or two later I went ahead and had the rear tinted, I can tell it`s a little cooler when I get in when it`s cooking outside

Took your advise and staying with the sr5.
Called the dealer and they were able to trade with another truck. So, I'll have my toy by the end of this month.

    Thank you all.

I ordered my 2015 and waited 3 months, I drove my trade in for 3 months and Freeman Toyota still honored the whole deal. Crazy, who drive their trade in for 3 months?

You have to have the sr5 appearance package on the 16 for it. There is one trim level higher that also has entune premium and sonar parking assist.

Correct, but the appearance package without the premium entune does not include the mirror, at least on the 4cyl. The V6 to the best of my knowledge you had to upgrade to the second package that included the premium entune to get it but I could be wrong. I know that the 4 cyl though does not have it with the appearance package w/o premium entune. However, on the 2017 they no longer offer the secondary appearance package on the V6 SR5 and it just comes standard now, which is why the price rose quite a bit.

I have the appearance package v6. It has the mirror but the stereo is the entune plus, not premium. No integrated GPS, just that shitty scout GPS link.

If you haven't yet pulled the trigger, go look at the brochure PDF and scroll to the pages in the back which list everything that's standard/optional/not-available for each trim.

That'll be the definitive list of what's different between the SR & SR5.

Never lived w/o a microwave huh?

If the SR had met your needs, wouldn't you have bought it to begin with?

You chose the SR5. Why get your bloomers in a bunch over another 45 days of waiting?

In 5 years you won't even remember the wait. You may not even have the truck.

I have an SR and I love it. Some things such as fogs are a simple and cheap fix.

Someday I hope to convert my access cab to that. With the rubber flooring.

In the meantime I've discovered my '13 base 5 lug is prewired for lots of stuff. I now have a dimming/temp/compass/camera mirror, bu camera, fogs, intermittent wipers. All with budget friendly used parts.

The convenience package provided cruise, windows, locks, slider rear window.

    Perfect for my needs.

I bought the SR utility, as stripped down as you get! Yes the extra features of the SR5 would be nice. Be patient, and just wait til your SR5 comes in...

My 01 DC is essentially an SR. No clock, no tachometer, heck no tripometer either. Fantastic truck. In CA, I didn't even seen any SR that was a 4 door. The dealers weren't even bringing them in. There were a few SR in 2 door, at some poorer neighborhood dealers.

Ideally SR, 4 door, 4x4 would be a fantastic truck. Essentially a new version of my 01.

    7594-$29735
    7540-$32765

Essentially a $3,000 difference. Locally you would have to order a SR 4x4 4 door. SR5 you can get them on the lot these days...

Think your confused as they don't make a double cab long bed SR. Only Sr5, TRD sport and off road.

...^^^... IDK ... I have only seen the SR (utility delete) on the AC/LB ... it's about a $1,700.00 MSRP savings ... IIRC.

They don't make a double cab long bed only double cab short of access cab which has the long bed in SR trim.
