Hey Tacoma lovers, I recently purchased a 2017 Tacoma and discovered when I click A/C the light will come on for a few seconds and then go off.

I have read where a lot of ‘17s have seen this issue and had their entire compressor replaced for thousands of dollars.

I recently found posts referring to the issue being the lock sensor on the compressor that needed to be changed. I have researched as much as I can with no luck to find this part. Has anyone had any luck locating the part needed to fix this issue and if so, can you please share the part number?

    Thank you in advance

Sounds like you need to get that diagnosed otherwise you’re gonna be throwing parts at it and spending money on possibly unnecessary parts. For example, there’s this one that’s almost 200 bucks: Compressor Pick Up Sensor (#88346-04010)

Could be the clutch for the compressor is bad, mine crapped out earlier this week. Part on order, getting it fixed next week, after it's supposed to be 90 degrees of course.

    Welcome, love the username!
I would agree with diagnosing first! Playing swap-a-part usually ends up costing more time and money.
