    Hey All,

Just wondering if any of you have issues with your air conditioner making a slight whistling noise when its on even when stationary.

Would you say it is a chirping noise?
How sure are you that it's the A/C?

When idling with AC on and fan set to minimum, the speed of the internal fan fluctuates quite a lot on mine. Enough you can hear it blowing / whistling for a few seconds, then silent for a few more. Not sure if that's what you are hearing.

    They have variable speed fans?

Whistle or chirp that can be traced to the evap box is usually an expansion valve opening/closing. No worries.

The high pressure fuel pump is know to chirp like crickets just in case you are possibly mistaking it for the AC.

Mine did that for about a week last summer, I was ready to take it to the dealership and then it went away. Thanks for the explanation of possible causes in case it comes back

I have a whistle on mine only when the AC is on. About every 25 seconds it will whistle for about three or four seconds. When I turn off the AC, and leave the fan speed the same, it goes away. I'm taking mine to the dealer. 2017 TRD OR DCAB MT with 2500 miles.
