Outside the door seals, no issue. But when water is inside the door seal, on the inside of the door frame and pools on the door sill, it is an issue. My drivers door seal was recently replaced for this, and after an all night rainstorm, it has reappeared. So I'm working on getting it fixed, but not gonna get all tore up about it.

Right on dudes. Thanks for the replies.
It wasn't as much a concern of the seal itself as much as its placement. The seal is working but I guess in the multiple of vehicles I've owned I can't say I've ever noticed that much moisture. My concern and question was more/less long term. If I had this truck 20 years from now should I expect a rust bucket? So I thought it was a legit question.
Not a dumbass, not a troll, just asking.

No harm in asking. My '08 Scion xB looks like that in the door jambs after rain and cleaning, it's normal. I always clean my door jambs and have zero rust in those areas, so you should be fine.

I also don't have a garage, so no rust is a good thing!

The only way your going to get rust there to the point it's going to rot out is if the paint gets chipped or scratched and you get salt water in there and never wash it. If you take care of your truck it won't be an issue

I don't have a 3rd gen BUT, I did notice this new seal, when I test drove a 3rd gen. I liked it because it keeps dust out from between the doors. I had planned on researching to see if the seal would fit on a 2nd gen. But now, I don't know.

All under and side vehicle bodies are made using galvanized steel now a days. Doubt if you will ever see any rust around there unless you live in the snow belt.
