So were you in your employer's parking lot, and their tree fell on the vehicle?

If I've deciphered that correctly, seems their casualty insurance should be the ones handling this, not the carrier of your vehicle.

What am I missing?

Regardless, the damage you describe can be repaired properly by the right place as I mentioned in post 13. And since it should fall on the property carrier, you're even in more control of where the work gets done.
