2017 Tacoma, 53000km Engine Failure

That's bad!

 

Please let us know what the final word from toyota is. I would like to know the root cause and if possible get us some pics of the old motor.

 

People who have problems are FAR more likely to go on a message board and rant as compared to people who have not had any issues. There are literally millions, maybe 10's of millions 3.5 V6 engines on roads all over the world. As far as the "legacy" of this engine, it is yet to be told but given it was put in Tacomas starting in 2016, I'm certain there are 250K+ mile trucks, already on the road, that have had no major engine issues.

 

My 03 threw a rod about a year after warranty ended.....pissed me off
