This is a great site with more information than several other vehicle forums put together. Reguardless of how many Tacomas people have owned in the past or what they have done with them or reguardless of the fact that they have been members here for years through multiple accounts some people think that you shouldn't be allowed to post here since you don't currently drive one. I have seen hot headed people and trouble makers come and go like the wind. They burn themselves out pretty quickly, As I said don't worry about them, enjoy whatever your drive, and welcome to TW.

Enthusiasts? This is the third gen forum, they have come here to troll. They are enthusiasts of 4runners, Nissans, and Hondas.
NOT 3rd gen Tacomas. That makes them trolls.

I have a 3rd gen and I think it sucks. Am I not allowed to voice my opinion or is this a safe space for people who like their trucks?

But are you enthusiastic about thinking it sucks?

I like to complain about things and TW is an easy outlet. No complaints about my truck though but if it happens then here I'll be...

As usual instead of adding anything to the conversation or helping in any way shape or form I see from your quote certain people are still complaining and berating other members. We shall see how long that's able to continue

I have had 4 Toyotas to date: 1998 Toyota PU 4x4, 1999 ex cab 4x4, 1996 T-100 ext cab 4x4 that I owned 14 years and no issues and I now have the 2016 SR5, DCSB that I absolutely love....all have given me no issues...unlike my dodges, fords and Chevy's... (except for my 1975 Ford F250 Hi-boy, which was a beast).. but I love Toyotas...

WTF??? Ive owned a 99 4x2 single cab tacoma, 2000 4x4 extneded cab tacoma(damn good truck), and a 2005 4dr 4x4 sport. Of all these tacomas, I can guarantee my new 2017 is more quite, smoother riding, better braking, and has a shit ton more options than any tacoma ive ever had. I think alot of the issue is people coming from a full size ford, chevy or dodge. Most of those trucks are set up for road use. So sure they are a better ride, and not worth a damn in a wet patch of grass and it takes a football field to turn one around, and they have continuous problems. Ever hear of a dodge owner thats never had their truck in the shop? Nope... they can pull a heavy load, for about 60k miles then they need transmission work. If i had a dollar for every window regulator, door handle or a/c controller ive replaced on a ford i Could pay for the redesign of a new ford thats worth a damn. Im not going to even bring up a ridgeline LOL, those arent even trucks. And anyone that wants to bring up chevy Colorados, dont forget, they had to stop making them for a few years cause they were the biggest pile of shit since the Pinto. then they come out with a truck that GUESS WHAT?? Looks like a Tacoma. As for price wise, name a truck that is in the same price range or cheaper? your not going to find one. In fact, the colorado is at the same price point or more. The diesel verson is high 40s. So Yeah it may not be the best truck ever made...But J/K its is the best truck made. OH... I say this with "All Due Respect"

Too bad I didn't take the CR survey, if there was one. I love my 2017 SR5. Rides and handles better than my 2010, does everything I need it to do. Tranny does take getting used to, but Toyota gave us three different modes to operate it. Whatever your driving situation, use a mode which you like the best. Love the color, love the lighting, love the ability to easily customize to our personal preferences. I do not experience much road noise. If I do, I will use the little cross button on the left hand side of steering wheel to crank up hair nation! Problem solved!

Nope, if your referring to me. But in all fairness I have owned Tacoma's before. 1st gen, and 2ng gen.
I have also stated in other threads that buying a vehicle is a personal choice. Buy what you want.

You have 498 posts. I was talking to the guy with 2 posts, both in this thread, both defending his decision to buy a Honda, who's post you liked, not you.
We need to try a little reading comprehension here.
I stated " in your first post.....in your second post". How did you think that meant you?

My only complaint about our trucks is the transmission. And I'm hoping Toyota will take care of it the best they can in due time. If they don't, Well I still love my truck and at the end of the day if it lasts as long as the previous gen tacos, I'll be happy.
