Not sure if I am a hater or troll, probably more the troll, so don't let the door hit you in the ass. Later.

Complain to Toyota. They don't read this forum. And even if they did, they would see the OVERWHELMING MAJORITY of 3rd gen owners are happy with there truck so they aren't going to listen to the infinitesimal number that are complaining and whining.
Many of you have overestimated your importance in the bigger scheme of things.

Actually Toyota DOES read the forum. I was told by the engineer that in the first 30 days of the vehicles release they had a meeting every night and discussed each complaint. Also ask any lawyer If the manufacturers read sites like these and they will tell you the same. Not to mention manufacturers insurance agencies. If for some reason you were to go down the lemon law route one of the first things a lawyer tells you is not to post about your issues on forums or social media sites.
On a similar note its kinda "weird" that Toyota comes up with lower control arm plugs right after someone here figures out the cause and fix...Like within the next week. that s fun "coincidence"
Also a while back Camelback Toyota sponsored an off road event for TW members and a contest.

Toyota would be totally foolish to not read the Forums, they can find out a lot of information about what people like and do not like, how they use their vehicles, etc... it helps them improve the product!

and GM, Ford, Nissan, Fiat read this forum as well. I suspect that some 3rd party agencies also POST here, covert ops.....
Just take everything with a grain of salt and trust what you see in front of your face more than anything you see on the internet.

I agree that other Manufacturers probably glance thru every so often, again to see how the vehicles are used and what people like and do not like. As far as hiring third party agencies to go make posts seems a little over the top as l just cannot see there being enough return on investment to bother.

but can you say with absolute certainty it does not happen? Agencies hire smaller agencies who hire smaller agencies etc.
Marketing takes on many shapes, and if you can think it, it is probably happening somewhere. "over the top"?, maybe, but possible...anything is.
Regardless, taking everything you see on the internet with a grain of salt is never a bad idea, right?

Anything is possible but my thinking is what financial gain is the company going to get to offset the cost, effort, and time involved in that kind of crap.

Sorry bro, l just do not see a return on investment. Companies are on razor thin budgets and have to be able to justify what they are spending.

Was never trying to go back and forth or argue with you my friend. No harm in agreeing to disagree.

Like mine, your comment is just and opinion. Time and data in the near future will come with a fact.

Toyota sends very detailed periodical questionaires to a selected group of owners asking questions on a wide range of issues.

Proof? While I have none to say they do monitor Tacoma old, I know of some people who work in marketing departments for fortune 100 companies and they do monitor user forums...

I'm guessing Toyota visits these forums, especially one this popular.

Ad to that and the tin hat crowd could just as easily say Toyota hires posters to say good things about the truck and to bash naysayers.

    Feasible? Yes.

    Do I have proof, no.

There is a user group that they solicit feedback on all kinds of stuff. They ask if you will participate up front.
