Or trade it for the same model with the 2.7L.

What? Typically head gaskets leak to a water jacket, oil passage or externally. To leak between cylinders two gasket "o rings" have to fail, which usually means the head lifted or warped. Leaking between 3 cylinders is odd, I am assuming that they are not leaking between each other but not enough info.

Yes I agree to a point, but this has low compression this is not a coolant leak.. Headgaskets for this fault go bad between each cylinder, again I have never seen the entire bank go down for this reason....

If it was fixed properly it will be fine
Anything can fail. Any time ,any brand. Opening up a motor and never the same is not true . It was put together from pieces and can being taken apart, repaired properly and put back together.

Thank you everyone for the input. Since I have the extended warranty I'm thinking I'll keep it and see what happens. If something else fails, I'll get it fixed under the warranty and trade it in. I've had the oil changed on service schedule and have driven the truck like the old man I am, so it was never abused. Unfortunately, this incident has undermined my faith in the Toyota brand.:(

I think you will be fine, as far the brand goes a part failure has nothing really to do with Toyota .
Sometimes it’s just a bad manufacturing flaw of the part. There is no way of knowing ahead of time if and when a part may fail. If the dealership knows what they are doing it will be fixed.Usually they give these kind of jobs to experienced the mechanics.

Thanks TruckGuy63, that makes me feel better. I asked about who was going to do the work and they indicated it was a Master Mechanic, so I feel better about it already. New trucks are just too expensive to trade in as soon as something this big happens so I'll keep it as long as possible.
