Hey Guys and Gals (does anyone say Gal anymore?)

I don't do short detail-less stories so don't read and complain afterwards, find another thread to read. You have been warned.
    Here's my story.
I pulled a H11 TRS set of LED bulbs and ballasts out of my wife's Nissan Juke yesterday.
Her drivers side headlight stopped working, the kit is only 6 months old, I'm sure warranty will not be an issue. I put standard Halogens back in and the drivers headlight still didn't work.
Checked the drivers headlight plug with my meter and there is no voltage at the plug, come to find out, the fuse was blown for that circuit.
Today I thought I would try the same kit in my Tacoma to see what they looked like.
I remove the factory low beam drivers bulb, plug the ballast and LED bulb in and I have nothing. Weird, the passenger side low beam is working. So it occurs to me the ballast is likely bad and that is what blew the fuse in the Juke.
    :annoyed:
Now I've likely blown a fuse in the Tacoma, no biggie.
I find both low beam fuses in the fuse box under the hood, I pull the fuse and it looks good.
I then realized I pulled the passenger side low beam fuse, I reinstall it and it sparks, probably because the headlights were on.
I pull the drivers side fuse and its blown. I replace it with a spare 10A fuse.
I reinstall the factory halogen bulb in the drivers low beam.
Still nothing, now from neither side.
I figure maybe it's not coming on because it's daytime. Not until after dark when I had to drive home did I realize I still have no low beams.
    :annoyed:
I ended up using a couple H11 conversion cables to extend the fog light wires up to my headlights (because they are both H11's) in order to have headlights until I solve this issue.
I used my meter to check for power at the plug after replacing the fuse, no power.
I checked all the fuses under the hood for continuity to make sure none are blown and none were.
I plan to check both low beam fuses for power tomorrow as it only just occurred to me to check.

I'm throwing this out there as the answer to my predicament is not yet apparent to me.

Once you checked for power at fuse box, check Headlight relay. I doubt there is a fuse for the coil side of the relay, but it's worth checking if there is, probably labeled something like steering column switch gear.
Do the headlight idiot lights light up on the dash?

Will check the headlight relay, I don't recall seeing a headlight related relay under the hood, it might be under the dash.
If you mean the lights that tell you the headlights are on, then yes it comes on in the dash.
    Thanks mutely for your help

If the headlight, light on thr dash come on, then I doubt it's anything on the switch side of the circuit. So probably not worth checking for a second fuse, or the coil side of the headlight relay. I say headlight relay, but there might not be one if its using some form of CAN buss, I can't say I've checked the wiring diagrams in detail.
The wiring diagrams have been posted to this forum, it might be worth looking at those.

There's a 15 amp combined fuse you likely blew.

    Issue Solved
That's exactly it Greg. I noticed this this morning after I checked for power at my other two low beam fuses.
That combined 15A fuse was visually just distorted, it tested as a short but couldn't handle any current.
    Very Tricky!

I have a 2019 Tacoma, and my passenger low beam stopped working, right after a short off-roading stint. No water involved. I bought LED’s to re-lace the bulbs. I replaced, and passenger side low beam still didn’t work. I checked H-LP RH-LO, and other side as well. I also checked the 15 amp H -LP-LO. Still no go. I noticed the BKUP LP NO.2 was missing, I put a fuse in and it worked. WTF? Anyone else experience this?

    Hi there,
I have the same problem with my 2017 tacoma. I attempted to instal LEDs on the low beams, it did not work. Now I don't have low beams anymore. I checked the fuses as per instructions on this thread, still nothing.
    What else can I do?

I just had an issue with my 2017 Sport, LED went so I replaced it new one did not come on, so I followed the thread and checked and changed fuses. Come to find out the plug for the new LED goes in both ways, as soon as I turned it around worked fine.
Just FYI, for the new installers.
