Okay not sure if anyone has looked into this or not..maybe i posted something before old age creeping up on me lol

anyway, I have the 2017 taco with the nav unit in my 2015. I was able to control the USB music from steering wheel like change folders browse etc.. Now with the 17 and 16 I had have to touch the head unit to browse songs or go from like ac/dc to motley crew or what ever. No longer can i use the steering wheel controls they do work but just not like. In the 15 they did so i am wondering if anyone with a 16-17 do you have the ability to browse with the controls on the steering wheel i just see this as a nice feature and not having to look though 32gigs of music for a song by touching the head unit and taking my eyes off the road would be great listen up Toyota. I am now seeing how Toyota works LOL if it works lets fuck with it just a bit so it doesn't we will say it is better LMAO

    Anyway thanks for the help

    Robert

On the steering wheel. Left side there is a pad for volume and track up down.
If it works for other sources it should work for usb.

Well of course you cant shuffle through playlist and all that.
It’s just a next/back button. Just like the one on the actual radio.
Choose a playlist before you begin operating the vehicle.
Focus on the road and steering.
