If I accelerated my truck too much on the freeway at high speeds it would go into limp mode, restart the truck and it's good to go.

To fix this, today I decided to replace the ignition coils on the driver side. I had already replaced them on the passenger side as well as all the spark plugs.

After installing the ignition coils (I got on Amazon) the truck would start and run fine for the first 30 seconds or so then a very rough idle. I re installed the original ones thinking that would fix it, but same thing happened after starting. Then I decided to order new ignition coils from auto zone, thinking maybe the truck didn't like the amazon ones.

After those were installed, still same thing. Also just noticed a strong fuel smell coming from the exhaust.

Did I bump a vacuum line while working on the ignition coils? Do I need to get OEM ignition coils? Did I fowl the spark plugs with the amazon ignition coils? im stumped.

what made you think replacing ignition coils with coils from Amazon would fix the issue?
Did you scan for any codes?
I have no idea if you bumped a vacuum line, i wasn't watching you work on it.

I’d definitely use OE parts, but also diagnose beforehand, unfortunately now you have added more variables to contend with.
Check for codes and post em up, some of the techs might be able to help you begin to troubleshoot.

Just found it after hours of searching. It was a loose hose underneath the insulation of coil pack #6. The far back right. My hand must have bumped it off when removing the ignition coil, reconnected it and she's running like a dream now.

This happened in the past and the code that popped up was a misfire. I replaced all the spark plugs and 3 of the ignition coils and it fixed the issue. So my best guess for the issue occurring again was a bad ignition coil, one of the ones I didn't yet replace.
