When they finish it, drive it thru the showroom window:mudding: , then have somebody swiftly pick you up in a Ridgeline and ride off into the sunset.

The rest of the engine is the rest of his engine, like the rest of the truck. Yes a used truck.

Looks like a few too many cylinders for a 2.7... ;)

Anyways OP I think you need to go buy a lottery ticket like right now, I think your bum 2TR drastically affected the global average MTBF.

Good to hear that it was resolved, sounds like they used a good tech and not "highly trained Toyota monkeys" to do the work. Here's hoping it doesn't give you any shit for another 300...K!:dancingbacon:

And in fact, the page on the noted web site specifies that it is for the 4 cyl 2.7, Base and SR5, model years 2015 & 2016. I think the pic just depicts the basic components but, who knows.

Nope even the 4 banger will give you something to complain about, it was feeling left out from the Smitty show.

Mulling over trading the taco for a wt colorado it does have gms upgraded 7 inch touch screen and v6 vs my 4 banger....the power is tempting but does anyone know how the new colorados have held up or do they just fall apart after about 6 months ?! I test drove the truck and do like the power.....but I like my truck again so far at least I have made it to work the last 2 days and the engine still appears to be working ok now....

They're holding up just fine--no worse than the third gen. If you go to their forums from what I've seen there's actually less complaints about them there from what I've seen. They aren't going to magically grenade on you just because you bought a Chevrolet or GMC. I just didn't care for the interior fit/finish or design as much. It felt a bit "car like". Tacoma definitely has them beat on the interior aesthetics. You can buy an extended warranty on them just as you can on a Toyota Tacoma if you're that worried about it. How long and for how many miles will you actually keep the truck anyhow? That's something else to consider. Resale value on them is decent too from what I've seen and heard.

Yeah they offered a 4cyl lt for about the same as I paid for the taco but may not want to trade 4cyl for 4cyl the wt is just missing phone buttons ln the steering wheel and I would have to pay for a bed liner so just weighing my options or keeping the taco of course hmmmm the power from their v6 was nice 308 hp dunno how good their new 8 speed is...I think toyota will hold value better over time

Only reason I'd switch over is for the baby Duramax

Been a long time in Michigan since I looked at it, but if I recall, under the lemon law, you had to report the same issue several (maybe 3 x's) before vehicle replacement could be considered. I'd be a mental patient if it were my truck, but I believe you have to give them a chance to make it right. Just my 2 centavos.

Yeah Every state has their own lemon law criteria. You can google it for your state and there are plenty of websites that will give you the break down for your particular state
