A quick question, how much diff oil is required for the 2017 Off Road Tacoma? Can you just fill it till it runs out? Looked in the manual and they list a bunch of models. Thanks in advance appreciate the help.

That's how its done. Use the fill hole. Top one. Go slow when it starts to come out put plug in and your done. And in the book use the model you have.

Thanks! The model on the door frame isn't listed in the manual. I'm most likely just not looking in the right place. Thanks again!

bunch of stuff - Bro Pro style
TRD OR with auto - you have the e-locker and V6

    Rear should be 4.2qts
    Front should be 1.6 qts

Get a pump that works with the oil can you're using and thank me later.

I was just looking up this in the manual a few minutes ago.

I took my truck to the dealer to have my oil changed and also have them change my transfer case gear oil. I did my transmission (manual) and diffs last fall.

They changed my DIFFS and not my transfer case and put in 75w90 regular gear oil not synthetic like I had in there already. Fucktards. So now I'm not sure what they did and am going to change all of them to the correct fluids.

I even asked them if they had the special gear oil for the transfer case and they put me on hold got back and said yes. Invoice said 75W90.... and I was charged like $10 for the gear oil.
I have no idea what they did hopefully not 75W90 in the transfer case!! Going to change it out because now lack of trust they did anything right so doing it myself.
Lesson lernt.. should have done it myself anyway. /rant
