I have a 2017 Tacoma SR5 quad cab, 40k miles. Fan/heater started to not work last week, here's the timeline:

    • Drove to work Thursday, fan/heater worked fine. Drove home, fan/heater wouldn't turn on. Friday, drove to work, then home, fan/heat worked fine. Went and got a pizza, fan/heat worked fine. Saturday morning, drove to go skiing with my son, fan/heat worked fine. Drove home, no fan/heat.
    • Since then, I've gone through everything I've read on here regarding the fan/heater/resistor/relay and fuses. Everything checks out. Resistor doesn't look burned. Blower motor runs when connected directly to 12v, and relay clicks when connected to 12v. I bridged across the relay port with a jumper wire and the fan/heater powers on. Without that, I do not have 12v at the connection to the blower. Tonight I pulled apart the dash and opened up the switch to check that out. Nothing looks charred or appears to have a continuity issue. Thought about just ordering a switch to rule out that, but come to find out it's the entire assembly and it's over $630. I also verified that the 50a fuse as well as the 10a IG1 #2 under the driver's side was good and both of those checked out.
    • I bought the truck used with 13k on it in 2021. The blower motor was replaced in 2019 under the recall.
If anyone could shed any light on this or point out something I may be missing it would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance!!

    Tom
