I have been having issues with bluetooth connection on my truck, the phone will auto connect when I start the truck, and the phone portion will work perfectly the issue I have is with music, the music will play, but it plays in fast forward for little chunks, then stops then plays in fast forward, then stops etc. If I turn off the bluetooth on my phone, then back on the problem will resolve itself until the next time it auto connects when I start the truck. then the process repeats itself. problem has persisted through 2 software updates. any thoughts?

    phone is
    iPhone 6
    IOS 10.2

Thought it was just my imagination. Mine only does this sometimes and I couldn't pinpoint the problem. Hopefully someone has a fix?!

I have the '16 TRD OR and it does the same damn thing. My problem is, I'm stationed in England and can't get it looked at until I get back in August. If anyone has a solution besides turning bluetooth off and on, that would be great. Super annoying and def not the phone!

I'm having an issue where the music will pause randomly for a second then continue to play on its own. Then pause 45 secs later and play again. Only happens when using Bluetooth audio, not fm, Am etc.

I tried disconnecting and reconnecting and nothing. Tried connecting my phone to other devices and it works just fine. Also tried playing music through different apps on my phone and same thing.

    Galaxy S7 edge
    Usually play music through spotify

Are you charging your phone while on Bluetooth? If you are as I have found out the Entune will expect you to play music from your phone so you will have to toggle menu to your phone and not Bluetooth, but when you do that you can't skip songs with steering wheel.

Yes that's the only thing that I have found works
I've actually never charge the phone in the truck so it doesn't do it while charging as far as I know but in all of the times it does

I have the same problem with my iPhone 7 (and my prior 6). My wife's phone is also connected to my truck. If I temporarily choose her phone (which disconnects mine) and then re-choose mine to reconnect the music channel, it doesn't do the weird skipping thing and I get a good bluetooth music connection.

Do you think it's a phone problem or a head unit problem?

I'm sure it's a software problem with the truck. All I'm doing is disconnecting one phone and then reconnecting. No changes to phone settings. And it is clear that this is happening across phone brands.

I agree, I wonder if Toyota has a fix for it? Does anyone know who the manufacturer of the head unit is?

A few listed in the signature
Panasonic makes your head unit. I have had no issues with mine. I even redid my speakers with JBL GTOs.

Sounds so much better and works flawlessly.

@pharah Have you completely deleted the pairings on each side, hard-rebooted your phone, then re-paired?

I've had no issues with my iphone7 and latest iOS versions for the past four months. Bluetooth music playback has been rock solid.

Yes, I was able to get it working one time after doing this. One time meaning, after I did this it worked when I got back in the truck after work. Unfortunately it reverted to not working again the next day.
