I went with the Bak-flip cover gave me some extra security and got it for a reasonable price for a long bed taco. I like that it folds up to give me 98% of open bed when i need it.

When I almost bought a taco that didn't come with a tonneau, I asked the salesman if it would only be $600 to install a tonneau onto it. He said it would cost me $1200 since it didn't come with the truck from the factory. Anyway, I ended up buying my '17 DCOR4x4 that came with it.

Anybody want to trade a bed rack for a tonneau cover?

Are any of these covers as solid as the OEM cover? I don't wanna swap bed and I hear you can't even order them from Toyota.

Nope, factory installed option. I like mine, though I don't really need it/have a use for it.

That's too bad. My truck came with everything else under the sun and now I'm bummed I don't have the cover. Oh well.

Yep, I just wanted a loaded OR with JBL/tech and premium, bought over interwebs/email communication, went out to delivery area and was like oh this one has the tonneau, lol.

That's great. I wanted loaded without the JBL so maybe that extra speaker setup comes with a cover included haha. Dang it!

A colleague from work just bought a new Chevy Colorado, had the Fold-A-Cover Elite installed at the dealer. Bad installation, it isn't even close to being lined up. I told him I'd come over and re-align when his seals set in.

Word of caution...be careful with these if someone has installed it for you. It takes a bit of time and patience to line up. Not that difficult, just patience.

I know this is out of your range, but I just put a BakFlip MX4 on mine this weekend. Had a RollBak on my '08. I like this much more, still can handle 400 lbs. on top, and I also retain the use of my rails and full bed access!

Cannot go wrong with Tyger Auto products. It’s one of the cheapest products but the fit and finish is top notch. Also keeps track system available for use.
