2017 Tacoma towing - need feedback

    My double cab long bed only weighs 670 pounds less than my son's 15 Tundra. Take his big rear bumper off and my taco is as long as his Tundra. Big difference in engine size with a 3.5 and a 5.7 liter. I think a trailer around 4000 pounds would be ideal. Keep the extra weight of cargo and water down. Keep the speed down to an agonizingly slow safe speed of about 60 or so. You might be able to tow more but you will have more fun with a smaller trailer than the biggest possible trailer. On the other hand, you really have the little engine that could.
