... and something about Dealer Service message. I noticed this the last couple of times I started the vehicle. It has less than 200 miles on it. I ended up turning the engine off and restarting. The yellow triangle indicator went away. Is this something I should be concerned about? Not sure if I did something wrong or issue with the new truck. Thanks.

I got in the truck and to test the brakes in park, I pumped them. Got an slippery when wet indicator, Brake, and ABS light that came on, but went away. Not sure if this is normal, or related.

Make sure you aren't hitting the gas pedal and brake pedal at the same time.

I think I was fat footing it. Was very careful today not to drift my foot from the brake over to the gas, guess I'm used to a clutch :) Did not seem to have the error come back. Will keep an eye on it. Thanks.

I doubt it was fat footing.
It's a telling you there is a malfunction.
The system operates when the vehicle speed and throttle position are over a certain amount; then it cuts RPM to below 1,000. Shouldn't happen in "Park".
    There's something amiss somewhere...

Thanks. Would an info I scanner, higher end model pull the problem assuming one exists? Because I plugged it in and it showed no codes or pending codes, data stream, etc.

It happened when I had it in reverse. Went away after shutting engine off and restarting.

So if the RPM was over 1k (truck was warming up) and I stuck it in reverse and fat footed both pedals, would the condition come up? Like I said I received no beep, no blinking, just a yellow solid triangle warning with the override error in the main screen. Truck started fine and went into gear. Turned it off and it went away. Thanks.

I had a stereo installed (just a sub and amp) and they used a zip tie on what appears to be the hydraulic brake wire harness directly in back of the battery. I looked and do not see any wires cut, as the tie is not on that tight. Is it possible that a pin could have wiggled lose? I pushed on the harness assembly a couple days ago and have not had the issue come up again. I figured it was fat foot syndrome...

I thought you had a "Dealer Service" message too...
If it was the master cylinder sensor(see page 3,010); it is one of the procedures for checking intermittent problems(see page 3,014).

No mods. Yes, the same msg I see that others have where it says brake override malfunction, see dealer. But no flashing yellow light, and the msg has gone away. Could not drive it at the moment, another car in the driveway, but I started it repeatedly, and nothing. So I guess I will just wait to see if it comes up again? I do need to go into the dealer at some point for my second key to be programmed, they could not find it when they sold me the truck.

Ok, I am able to duplicate the problem.

    1) If I push the brake pedal down, and hit the start button, nothing comes up, everything is fine.

    2) If DO NOT have my foot on the brake and hit the start button once, the dash instruments light up, etc. Now if I hit the button TWICE the air starts to blow and the main instrument panel (center) lights up. While this is taking place if I press the brake pedal I get - Charge Warning, Brake Warning. Now if I keep my foot on the brake at this stage and hit the start button the truck starts but it shows the Brake Override Malfunction Visit Your Dealer, but goes away. If I start like normal none of these warnings appear.

So , is this NORMAL? Any input appreciated. Thanks!
