Sorry if it took too long to update, but I’ll try for those who might be having my issues. My truck was fixed about a week after my previous comment. I brought it to the dealership and they said that a brake pin was broken which was causing it to brake at random circumstances. I’ll try to find the mechanic’s written report and maybe paste the whole thing here. But yeah, i guess my truck’s issue wasn’t too related on most owners here but might be worth the try for other people who might have this issue in the future.

Same issue here, but my 2018 truck has an automatic transmission (31K miles and no crawl control). I washed the Tacoma after a 500 mile road trip. It sat overnight in the garage. I wanted to leave 22 hours after washing/parking, but the truck would not move when placed into Drive. No parking brake and no dash lights. It appeared as if the front brakes were locked. The rear tires broke traction and the rear of the truck started shifting to the right.

My solution: While in Park, pumped the brake pedal. Placed it into Reverse and gently pumped the gas pedal. Back into Drive and gently pumped the gas pedal. After about 5 attempts to move forward I heard a pop from the front and the truck moved. Drove around town with no other issues. I am assuming the caliper became stuck or something locked the front brake(s). Truck has never seen snow, salt, or sand. Great weather in San Diego. The only suspension/brake mod are the Pro Fox shocks and coils.

Dealership would like $160 per hour to diagnose.
