The 4runner, Taco, and probably the Tundra steering are the same, but the Tundra steering wheel you've shown has an extra jog button on it... means extra wires...so unless your clockspring already has the wires there...what are they going to do it with it.

I wonder if you are talking about the magnetic Bluetooth controller mounted on it.... without that everything is the same.

Stop and consider what these upgrades will do to your resale value. You will spend lots of cash, to lower your resale value, if that matters to you. Probably not, if you have that kind of cash to spend. A dealer won't want to re-sell that truck, because of the mods, and potential for issues. Not to mention the legal exposure for selling a truck with a swapped out seat. If they sell it at auction, they may have to announce the seat isn't the original seat. If I'm not mistaken, there are airbag sensors in the seat that tell the airbag how large the driver is, and adjusts the airbag speed. All kinds of safety issues possible with the seat swap. You can add headed and cooled seats to any truck, if you go with aftermarket leather seat covers.

It looks cool, and you will definitely have a unique truck.

Resell value never been an consideration for me. Im pretty sure no one want a 5 year old truck with half million miles on it, so after 5 year it basically a free truck. That's why it doesn't matter to me.

Thanks. Tundra seat definitely will not work, worst case scenario I have to keep the seat come with the truck and redo the seat cover cause I want cooled and heated seat. The only parts will be taken from tundra is the steering wheel and a center council lid( which the only usable parts is the little tray on top.

This truck is me and my brother's work truck plus my off-road machine so a lot of miles will be put on it.

well, i'm watching to see what you do with the seats.

i got the Taco because the MT... could not buy a new vehicle w/o an MT... and yeah i'd consider a number of different trucks if the MT was an option, even a 4R, but no MT there either.

i love my Pro like crazy, great everything so far, but the seat bottoms are no good at all for me. the seat bottoms need to be lower and for me to raise the front portion of the bottom also. i may have an upholstery shop shave the foam just to get more comfort in the short-term. i don't want to make my solution complicated or expensive, but i need a solution. more than 1.5 hours and my right leg is going numb, literally.

I'm curious to see how this comes out.

I'm with you on the manual trans thing; it's truly the only reason I am even considering a Tacoma for myself. If you don't mind something just a year or two old you might consider a Porsche Cayanne; up until recently they could be had in a manual and are probably going to be cheaper than what you have planned (if your looking for a premium interior wrapped in a mild off-roader that would do your high miles ok)

It really is amazing that of all the cars you can buy in North America, if you want something manual with a bit of towing capacity and/or a bit of off-road capability I think it's limited to just the diesel only Ram, frontier, taco, and wrangler.

If there are any I'm missing please tell me..
