This is the thread for my new project/daily driver.

As the title states I just purchased a 2017 Toyota Tacoma Trd Sport 4x4
I will be recording the build on here as well as on instagram which is TacoTrekker

Starting from my first car washB12A6202-FC3F-4470-8B5F-AB8B003F5CCD.jpg I went ahead and bought a console organizer just to have some extra storage nothing fancy just a quick Amazon purchase 1752A23F-B55B-4D45-8025-1B5B0776CB67.jpg Then of course like everyone I added some darker window tint just to keep the car a little bit cooler on the inside, plus it looks better 050F3377-7645-42D6-BF05-B29518FB997F.jpgD4A072F1-EF58-43A7-A3AB-D2AE954CEA9F.jpg 044CDD9F-DC2F-4AC7-B777-54E6A713A71A.jpgDEAD347B-507F-4BCF-92B3-244FA80D1E8B.jpg
    UPDATE: 16 July 2018

Today I did a quick fix to the AC drain hose to prevent rusting of the frame of the truck, this is a known problem on the 3rd gen Tacoma’s where the drain hose is very short and fall directly on to the frame and causes rusting of the welds98105EE6-F01B-445C-9DF2-9F3FF767E5CA.jpgso I have taken a 5/8th diameter hose and a standard hose clamp to run the drainage below the frame of the truck A3586808-E39A-4AA5-A58D-28AA2A2F1458.jpg these are the only things required to do this mod and it only takes a few minutes. Here are some photos of the results.88A58D44-FCD3-406C-962A-93A2E933634F.jpg0186BB16-19DA-4BF7-BB82-C0F9138E6332.jpg

    Update: 17 July 2018
Today I put the truck up on the lift and coated all of the welds, all of the internal areas of the frame and all other rust prone areas throughout the undercarriage with fluid film.

    Update: 07 August 2018
Today I wrapped the roof of the truck to protect it from fading in the sun and from items scratching the paint when using the roof rack which I will be doing next this is the vinyl that I used.

    Update: 08 August 2018
Today I installed my prinsu cab rack and light bar, I absolutely love the way it looks and how strong it it!

that’s all I have done so far but I have only had the truck for about two weeks so there is much more to come. Any suggestions would be great if you want to follow along with me on Instagram I will be much more active on there!

Working on that I want to do it with dirt kings which is San Diego local and I move there in a month so I’m holding out, also still trying to decide between king shock or fox shocks.

If those are your options run kings literally because the blue looks sexy.
That's where my factual data on king/fox shocks ends.

What are you looking for, mods wise? Purely looks?

No not looks I want to do some adventure trails and I guess you could say overlanding but without all that stuff just some out in the wilderness exploring and getting off the beaten path, as well as some light crawling.

Do your lift before wheels and tires. That way you're buying tires once.
