    I’ve had my Tacoma since Oct of 2017 and have now decided to start dechroming the truck. I’ve always enjoyed the color of the Inferno with the flash of the chrome. After months of looking around, I’ve decided that black accents will complement the Inferno color.

    I’ve had the “Tacoma” embossed tailgate letters for a while. Today, I used Plastidip to blackout the badges on the side and tailgate.

    I’m looking forward to following this up with more blackout projects.

    Nice look. I blacked out all the badges on my FJ Cruiser a few years ago with plastidip. It's still working great.

    I have one of those on mine too. I think I got mine off Amazon. The red and white must have got salt under it and it rusted really bad.

    @Brent2014 that sucks to hear. I got this one from eBay. It didn’t cost too much so it should be an easy replacement. What kind of grille do you have?

    Thanks, the cover is OEM Toyota. I like it for the security, but it does leak at the bed rail.
