2017 Tacoma?

Anyone have an idea when the 2017 model year will be released? Jun/july? I know it won't change much from 2016 but just wondering if the option mix may be different - I've played with that darn configurator so much that I memorized all the options and rules of building a truck. I don't NEED a truck right away but I WANT a truck right away.

 

My guess, Little to no changes.

 

I agree and say late in the year. You probably won't get a 2017 in the Summer.

 

16s didn't hit the floors until sept/oct so I would imagine at least a year after those. Considering how little change occured between the 2005-2011 models, I would imagine almost nothing different from 16-17

 

So then I'm probably going to pull the trigger on the '16. Def want to have it for summer for some wheeln' trips.

 

I heard Aluminum, Carbon Fiber body panels and a 5.0 diesel is inbound.

 

I was really hoping for some wings to see pigs fly....

 

Perhaps the auto transmission will be re-programed. =)

a turbo diesel would be nice, as for tranny reprogram, they "could" do that now if they wanted. Would be nice to choose between Otto cycle only and Otto/Atkin

It's gonna be a complete redesign for 2017. Again. Gen 2 3/4. I wonder if the seatbelt bracket will carry over.

 

I'll wait the until it is actually a 3rd Gen then
