2017 Tacona paint issues

Hi Everyone, I'm new to this Website, but am concerned with the cloudness on my roof that has happened rapidly on 1 1/2 old Tacoma. Thoughts?

 

Definitely an issue, a new truck (especially a Tacoma) shouldn't have faded paint that soon

For a split second it looked like a reflection of actual clouds. But yeah that shouldn't be like that. Was it parked outside 24/7 in az?

 

Wow. I wax my roof every other month

 

Needs a good wax job. Then progress to a wax/polish blend like Meguires Mirror Bright. If that doesn't do the trick then do an all out polishing job on it. I'd do it in stages from least agressive (wax only applied by hand) and progress to the most aggressive approach (polishing) so it doesn't screw the clear coat up any worse.

 

Paint warranty issue, set up a appointment with dealer and when they ask you on what you did to protect it, just say you wax it once a month.

 

Hmmm, I forget what the paint/coating warranty is on these, but I would take it to Toyota to comment.

 

Toyota like any car company, you should have them repaint the top area because of paint failure.

 

Another one. That resembles a 25 year old neglected vehicle. You're not alone from the threads I've seen. Almost all of them are blue.

 

You don't even need to say that. As long as you didn't throw battery acid on the roof, it shouldn't be fading like that even without washing it. That is clearly a defect.
