Go to the dealer asap and open a case with Toyota. That is not normal unless you parked it on mercury for the weekend.

Looks like the onset of clear coat delamination issues, similar to what happen to late 80's early 90's cars when base/clear was first becoming popular.

Get it in to your dealer ASAP -- I thought you were the same person as earlier in the threads. This scares me as I have the blue as well except mine is a AC .
There clearly is a paint defect here!!

That looks bad, take it to the nearest stealership for warranty, TOYOTA should be good for it. I got the white so as to avoid or not see those issues. :D (I j/k)

    Good luck

Both of those cases shown here are blue full cabs --had the exact patterns across the tops of the trucks. Toyota probably darn well knows what batch of these trucks had this problem when they painted them ,and WHERE the incident happened. They are probably hoping most people just mostly ignore the tops of their trucks when cleaning them.
PEOPLE WITH THESE VIN'S need to be notified. I know it's not a safety issue --but Toyota needs to "do the right thing" and own up to the problem.
It looks like to this "un-educated" (me) person there was too little blue paint put on, and it sort of is "fading away"

I wax mine 3-4 times a year in the SC and NC sun, there are cars here, faded all over the place, but with the clear coat, this should not have happened, dealer should take care of it.

I don't think anyone said it was his job to fix it. Someone had wrongly said that it could be taken care of with a good wax job -that's all..
Problem is, if all that have this issue ignore it, then Toyota will have achieved their purpose of not mentioning the problem and it WILL go away, with the passing of time, and the expiration of the warranty
People who have this defective paint have to speak up and demand a fix -from Toyota -of course.

I'm just wondering how long the OP had the truck in the sun for this to happen? Mine is always either parked in a garage or parking ramp, so it never gets sun really. Wondering if I should start parking outside, after all, if i have a problem i want know about it while it's still under warranty

I do park my truck outside every day, and it's only 27 months old. I would start parking it outside in the sun.

Just picked up my truck, and the dealership confirmed there is a major problem with the paint/clear coat. Unfortunately, they want me to go back to the original dealership to have it repainted. The Service manager was a piece of work, but the Service tech guy went out of his way to coordinate drop off and a rental car. I'll keep you guys posted as to what happens from here.
