I may have just the factory cover to part with.

You know the factory puts different bed rail caps along with the studs. Those caps are smooth so the bed cover can seal better. I know because I get little leaks from the design grooves in my bed caps. If I just wanted to cut down on wind and look good, I'd go with a low-pro roll-up, but for easy access and security the hard tri-fold works.

Man I wish this were the case. Unfortunately, it's not. My caps underneath the factory tonneau cover are textured just like every other 3rd gen.

I love mine a million times over. Reading this makes me glad my truck just happened to already have it on when I bought it.

My truck came with the cover from the factory. I didn't want it but deal wasn't willing to lower the price of the truck so I kept it. It's just okay. I honestly don't see why so many people like this thing. It's not bad but there are so many other options available. Just my 2 cents.

Is there one that is far superior then the rest?
Like for it to fold and be lockable . Have a good warranty . Then look good.

    Thanks

Kinda weird to be honest. I ordered my truck with cover and running boards. The truck arrived without either. They then ordered the parts and were installed by the dealership. I actually took delivery of the truck before the cover arrived as the order got delayed a week or so.

From what i am reading on several threads, it seems the factory tonneau is not available to purchase as an accessory in the US but is available in Canada. Does this sound right?

    That could be right...

OP if this is the case can you buy one from a Canadian dealership? I know a bunch of people went this route to get Pro grilles as they were cheaper up here

I've been thinking about this cover too, if I go with a tonneau this will be the one. I just can't make up my mind whether I want to get this or spend more and go with a camper shell. I like that soft covers like this roll up to leave most of the bed available when I need it instead of a tri-fold, and are easy to completely remove if needed. I do actually use the truck bed for large items a few times a year, and I don't like the idea of having to remove and store a camper shell when I need the full bed.
