If it had 30 weight in there before I changed it is there a possibility it wasn't leaking or maybe wasn't leaking enough to be detected

Make sure that clip is not preventing you from tightening the filter housing. I got burned on that clip before. Sounds like the leak issue is human error or mistake. Hopefully you did not damage the oil housing thread on the engine.

If I run the truck there's no oil coming from the oil filter housing.... It is further back above the drain pan below the transmission there's a small black clip if you pop that out you look up you can see what looks like the flywheel and two bolts that's where I suspect the oil is coming from

You could try moving up to thicker 30 wt oil. It may slow it down or not.
Unless its pissing out all over the place , you have time to arrange the repair.

It's dripping pretty good just went out there this morning and wiped everything down started the truck and it's definitely coming from that hole where the flywheel is and the transmission as far as I know oil should not be getting back there the only way I can get back there is past the main sealIMG20221113064016.jpg

I finally got financed to get what I always wanted..... Now this happens.... Life's rough but I really want to get this fixed and get my baby back on the road thanks for all your help guys I really appreciate it.

Looks like it has been leaking for a bit based on the discoloration. If it is the rear main, depending on miles and Dealership opinion, maybe it's covered by the 5/60k powertrain?
If your truck is m/t may as well take a hard look at the clutch while they are replacing the seal. Good luck sir, it isn't the end all.

Two things you could try before going to the dealer. First, I would change your oil to 5w-30 or 5w-20 if you have a belief that 30w isn't good. . . . .some do for some reason. My buddies Camry with 200k had a rear main leak that wasn't too bad and the dealer mechanic told him to try 5w-20 instead of the 0w-20 and believe it or not it worked and hasn't leaked since. This is not something I would have never imagined would work. As a second option you could try AT-205 Reseal which has been kknown to work well also. Personally I would try the 5w-30 and if it continues to leak after a thousand miles or so then and the Reseal. Nothing to lose, everything to gain.

I'm trying to prepare myself to get the rear main replaced hopefully my mechanic will tell me otherwise but from everything I can see it's the rear main seal.... thanks for the advice

I bet it has a slower leak on the back of the engine and the dealer steam cleaned it really good so it wouldn't be noticed.

That does look like dried up coolant.

Sorry to hear that. Thanks for the update. Glad you have a confirmation on what it was. Any recourse with the dealership you purchased from?
