Hello everyone. Hope you all are having a great day! I'm swapping out my tires and wheels of my 2017 Tacoma sr. I'm buying a set of OEM tires and wheels of a 2020 Tacoma TRD. How do I reset my tire sensors? Thank you and have a great day.

Many tire shops will do it for a small fee but I’ve already paid for this by doing it myself on my cars and family cars.

If the 2020 used wheels have the TPMS sensors, you have scanned each wheel to get the sensor ID#, and those four ID#s have to be programmed into your trucks ECU.
Many used OEM wheel sets do not come with TPMS sensors since they were removed and installed into the new wheels.

I have a 2017 Toyota Tacoma sr with steel OEM wheels. I'm buying a set of wheels and tires off a 2020 Toyota Tacoma TRD sport. Can I use my TPMS sensors off my steel wheel? And do I need to purchase new lug nuts? Thanks for all your help.

So what I would suggest would be take your new set of tires to a shop like discount tire. Ask them to clone your current sensors that are installed on your truck. Doing this all you have to do is install the new wheels and tires and hit the button at the bottom of the dash and they will start reading.

Yes for those wheels you will need new lugs here is a link
