So quick to complain, but when somebody posts some positive news that doesn't fit your narrative, you post worthless memes. Nice.

 

Edit: Just noticed how smitty got his 6112s and rest of his suspension on. What happened to not wanting to sell or trade in to take a hit, yet spends money for "mods" instead? Pretty sure he could have spent that money and put it towards the principal to get less in the red?

This is good news for the Executives making a big profit while selling a new truck with no power seats, a crappy transmission, and crappy drum brakes.

Do sales #s benefit any of you fanboys? No, not at all. In fact when the ranger comes out and Ford starts taking huge bites out of Tacoma sales then Toyota will have to step their game up. That will be something we should get excited about.

 

RHD 2016 Ford Rangers I saw in person while on vacay in Asia.
If this was available here, I probably would have seriously considered this over the Colorado and Taco. Not my taste in mods, but these two guys are obviously into their toy trucks.

The international model of ranger is different from what Ford will release for the U.S./North American market. Think they've made that pretty clear. Rumors also they'll be bringing a diesel and/or a turbo 2.7 gas. Intriguing.

 

Yup, those options make it more appealing. Could care less if it looks closer to a Ridgeline. If it performs and functions as well/ better + just as reliable than Toyota and Honda, It'd be a viable alternative and great to step up the game in the US market for this truck segment. Ford has been in the truck biz longer than any Asian manufacturer. Mazda has influenced their later designs quite a bit though.

 

If Ford drops in the 2.7 ecoboost it'll be lights out for everyone. That's a nasty motor and is kicking ass in the F150 currently. It's rated at what the 4cyl in the Tacoma is as far as mpg goes.

I actually think they will take some styling ques from the F150, and if sales go well would think a baby Raptor would be in the works.
