    gotcha. yes, I am looking for a rake forward - leaving my ass end up a little higher. I'm starting to think I should have purchased the 887's instead really to maintain a closer to factory rake. We'll see I guess.

    I would suggest leaving the overload leaf in then and keep the 888s. That should give you that extra .5 inch in the rear which would set you at level. After the front end has settled, you should have that slight rake you're looking for.

    I'm wanting as close to a factory on my DCLB OR. I've narrowed it down to 5100x4, 887, HS3. With that said, I'm not interested in 285's, for now. I'm hoping that the truck will still look correct with the stock size or jumping to 265-17.

    I think that'll be the plan - If the 888's don't settle enough I can look at other rear options. Thinking of adding a slimline front bumper at 55lbs and I've got the BAMF grill which is a little heavier than stock so that may affect it a small amount as well.

    Yeah you will definitely want to stick with the 888s then. Overall I don't think you'll be disappointed.

    Don't think I've heard anyone say anything negative about 888 spring... Love mine with Dakar rear pack...

    I posted this question on another thread with no answers thus far. Curious if anyone has tried this........

    The 5100's are only a fraction of an inch longer than factory TRD strut. I believe the OME struts are even shorter than the factory TRD 4600's

    Why can't we just attain lift with OME 888 on factory trd strut?

    Factory springs are 710 pound rating.
    OME 888 have a 590 pound rating.

    Understanding the 888's are longer than oem springs but with a lower spring rate I don't see why this wouldn't work.

    Other than the "it can't be done" Has anyone ever actually tried this combo

    Did 888 & dakars give you any rake or level?
    I have a cap in the back and want to keep the rake. So debating 887 and 3 leaf aal with overload kept in. Or. 888 and dakars.
    Can anyone chime in?

    I'm running 888/dakars with an ARE topper 1"rake. Perfect stance. Imo
    (Pic in sig not current) Will update later today after tire install.

    lift and shoes on. Ride is amazing really - better than I had hoped. day 1 sits .5" low up front which is just about exactly what I was looking for. if it settles a tad it'll be spot on. This lift with 285's is such a great marriage! Headstrong 3 Leaf AAL with factory overload IN.
