I know guys like smitty and others will rebutt statements like this... however, these threads baffle me.

You had a chance to test drive before purchase, and a 3 day cooling off/return period.

You saw these wheels, why would you buy it if they annoyed you?

You listened to the stereo, if it was a 10/10 of annoyance and you like the JBL, why would you NOT get the OR.

    First world problems...
3G forum is full of children.

:rofl::rofl: This thread cannot be serious.... You purchased a ~$42000 truck meant for off-roading and you worried about wheels, stereo, and engine sound? Maybe I'm old at 35, but these three things are useless to me.
    - Is my truck reliable - at 9000mi - VERY
    - does it haul my family and me safely - VERY!!
    - Can I haul materials - yuppers
    - Can I tow - check
    - Does it look "cool" - sure...

The Tacoma is the first vehicle I have ever sat in where my head hit the ceiling with the sun roof option. I am 6'1 so not what I would really consider tall. That made the question of sunroof or not a very easy one.

I like those wheels with those tires, I think it looks great. Can't give any input on the rest though.

Did you even test drive the thing or just purchase it because Pro badge? You make it sound like the Pro is a piece of garbage. No use complaining about things you can change.

The TRD PRO didn't offer any sound options so I had to stay with the OEM equipment. Anyway, I already purchased the OEM+ replacement and I will install it tomorrow. My wife has the JBL option on her 2014 truck. While the JBL is much better compared to the stock option is still far from being a great system. If I have to compare the original equipment from my 2017 with the JBL from 2014, I would give the 2017 3 stars and for 6 starts for 2014.

I don't want bad ass. I just want a deep sound that will go nice with my MT. If I really want a mean V8 sound, I will drive my Tundra.

So you are telling me that you never buy anything unless is 100% perfect? This truck has 90% of what I want and I will deal with the other 10%. I purchased a truck, not a sound system but it still bothers me the low quality of the OEM build. I don't like the glossy look on the wheels. Not big deal, I will replace it. The same for the muffler. I understand that everyone is different but I asked for an opinion, nothing else. Would you change the TRD stock wheels for SCS F5?

I don't care for the OEM sound system either, but it definitely isn't the worst one I've had. Best stock system I've had was my 2007 Infiniti G35 coupe (premium), Bose actually did a good job on that one (shocker).

Luckily there is a robust aftermarket for sound systems, eventually I may get around to upgrading but it isn't high on my priority list. I'd rather have actual bumpers (not plastic ones) before I consider any other "upgrades".

Honestly I'd keep the wheels. I was questionable at first with these wheels and was looking at the 4Runner TRD Pro wheels. I'm so glad I kept mine. The offset on the Tacoma TRD Pro wheels looks so good, and honestly in person they look sharp. Personally I love the sound of the exhaust that comes on the Pro. I'd spend your money elsewhere.

good luck with that. You're never going to get a
nice throaty tone from this V6.

ha, agreed. my last motor was a VW 3.2 VR6, and the sound is amazing, look it up on the tube. but it's not much of truck motor, and it ain't deep sounding... kinda like what we got lol
