I'll give you 600 bucks for those used wheels shipped to Portland OR. I am part of the minority that likes them.

Yeah man, I've just come to accept it. I've had many, many V8's and
several tacos and other V6's and you just can't get that deep/throaty V8
sound from a V6, at least none I've ever heard.

I think you will really enjoy the Audo+ system. Installed it in my pro a couple of weeks ago, and I couldn't be more pleased. Clean, full sound with a pretty decent decibel gain. Doesn't have huge bumping bass, but you can't really expect that with an 8" sub in a small space. I think it still sounds great though. Install is fairly easy as well. I would suggest rolling some sound mat since you will have the doors off already. I aimed for about 70% coverage on the outer door skin and inner panel. Seemed to have made a pretty decent reduction in road noise.

Have you looked into Gibson exhausts? I haven't heard one for the 3rd gen, but I had a Gibson on my '10 Taco, and I loved the sound. Nice idle and a noticeable (but not annoying) growl when you got on the gas, but quiet at highway speeds.

Going on 2 months now with my Pro and I have nothing to complain about exactly what I expected, if I wanted more power I would have bought a Tundra or if I wanted better fuel economy I would have bought a Prius.

I like those wheels, but the F5s look good also. I like black better than gunmetal tho.

#1) Throw in some new speakers, maybe even an amp, and be done with it. Although it requires some money, it is a very easy fix to solve your issue.

#2) Those wheels are extremely popular, you'll be able to unload them easily. Get something you like aftermarket, and be done with it. Again, it requires some cash, but its an easy fix to solve your issue.

#3) It's a 3.5 V6. Maybe I'm biased because I have a v8 car, but no v6 will EVER sound "deep" as you say, or mean, or badass. V6's are raspy and higher pitched, they always are. That's why I have no plans of doing an aftermarket exhaust, it just accentuates the problem. In my opinion, and I understand it's just mine and many disagree, but a truck is a "regular car" and sounding like one is no problem to me. I do, however, understand you have the pro, and it looks all badass so you want it to sound different. I'd sell your pro exhaust and buy OEM. You will probably come out ahead in the deal. Actually, in the long run, if you sell you catback an aftermarket like Borla or Magnaflow will probably only set you back a couple hundred, or even break even. Contact Borla, maybe it does fit MT and they haven't tested it yet. Look into JBA too, I dunno if they make anything for the Taco but my experience with them is a good pitch, quiet until you step on it, and no drone (on a v8).

I'm surprised you would spend north of 40k on a truck that you have such issues with. If I was spending that much, I wouldn't buy something that I would HOPE to "get used to."

I traded my 2016 OR with the JBL Audio and honestly I really cant tell much of a difference between both, but I didn't buy my Pro for the audio system. As for the wheels I didn't care for them at first when the Pro was released back in Sept but after seeing them in person they have grown on me and I know the majority of guys dislike the gloss black finish but they look good and offer a good contrast against the rest of the mat black finishes on the truck. With that said it's your money your truck make it how you want it to your taste.

Probably the same reason everyone makes posts on here.....because it's a forum of other Tacoma owners looking for ideas and opinions and to talk about the truck in general.

Yeah, but it just comes off as complaining, which I think people are really tired of at this point. Especially if its complaining about things so easily solved (with money, but easily solved nonetheless).

Exactly. If he wants exhaust sounds: go to YouTube or search.

There are plenty of pics with these trucks on SCS wheels.

I have for sale a TRD exhaust system taken off my 2017 Tacoma TRD PRO . The exhaust has 2500 miles on it. The same part brand new is around $680 without shipping. I wanted to post this on sales section but it error out with some 50 posts error.

    I'm asking for $550 obo

    http://trdparts4u.toyotaofdallas.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=337075

I would prefer local pickup or if you can arrange your own shipping, I'm good with that.

The exhaust is located in Garland, TX.

It wasn't an error, its a rule which is in the sticky thread on that page. It's literally the FIRST rule. You must have 50 posts before selling (which is fairly low, I've seen much higher), to help avoid scams and other issues. Be sure to read #2 regarding that too. Always read rules before posting for sale, it will help you avoid getting banned:
