Wow! Good luck making the deal. The dealers know they have you bent over a barrel if you really want the truck...

If I had a 2017 TRD OR I'd be happy to slap the Pro Fox suspension setup on it. Everything else is fluff, but I think they put a lot of time into getting the suspension tuned really nice for the Tacoma Pro. If it's available aftermarket I'd jump on it.

    thanks!

so, why not have an online auction for your truck? $500 over dealer trade sounds fair and i'm sure someone in AZ is looking for one!

I met a fellow taco owner at the Fox factory in Scotts Valley where they are building the shocks for the TRD Pro. I asked if they would sell them as a kit separately - he's not 100% sure, but it would sure seem like they would make a killing if they did.

They will sell it all separately just like you can pick up the 2015 TRD Pro Suspension with the Billstein setup. The pro is nice but what is it exactly? We got the Toyota dealer here and they are badging all kinds of Tacomas and 4-Runners TRD Pro. Some have the OME lift. it's gotten that everyone here has a TRD Pro badge and that's from the Dealer. So paying all that for a non-limited edition badge and set up is a little silly.

None. You get a better approach angle. The big deal is Toyota provides you extended travel heavy duty shocks on the Pro. I'd slap that TRD Fox kit on a Gen 2 or Gen 3 Tacoma and be happy. TRD doesn't just put a label on, they have pride, they put a lot of time and effort into getting the Pro suspension tuned.

Keep in mind it's a desert suspension, I think many people lose sight of that, much like they did with the Baja Tacoma.

It's all pretty awesome. I've had the 2000 the 2004 and the 2015 and they all performed for me when I had to go off road for work or got stuck in a snow storm when the AWD cars and SUVs were stuck.

I don't understand why they'd put predator steps on the Pro. Those things are great for getting caught on a rock, roots, or a fallen tree and with those weak welds, snapping a step right off. Don't guess they'll be covering that under warranty either....

I wouldn't buy a Pro at MSRP but I'd buy that suspension in a heartbeat. I bet that's a nice suspension system.
