Yup, you'd have to replace the front TRD tuned Fox shocks. But then you have to ask yourself, is it worth pulling out the TRD tuned shocks after spending all that money on a TRD Pro....

OR...you can just rip out everything like Dacon, and start from scratch.

First, you run the risk of damaging your suspension off road. And of course oem providers are not going to suppprt modification...

It just took 1/2 of travel out of the suspension, shifting the entire geometetry down that much. That means the suspension, at full compression, will bottom out a 1/2 in sooner. If the bump stops don't stop the compression and the coilover bottoms out, it will bust the coilover.

    1) I haven't tested this, but thing the geometery safely prevents coil bottoming even with the spacer
    2) however, to be safe, I installed larger bumpstops, sacrifing a bit of compression, in exchange for a little more lift/extension

Yes I did, we don't have extended travel 2.5 coilovers with DSC on the pro. And all manufacturers will tell you that so they won't be liable for anyone else's bad decisions.

Skip the spacer idea and just do a full replacement. Or listen to everyone who doesn't own your truck and don't touch it because TRDBRO.

I generally don't worry about what other people think, so I feel no shame for wanting a Pro, even with intentions of swapping the suspension for better ground clearance. Whether I can afford one until 2019 is a separate problem. :/

    Why a pro?

I just priced a Taco OR with base technology package and a few options like weathertech liners and bed cleats: $37500. This is only $3500-$4000 less than the manual transmission Pro (and I want a MT), without leather (which I would add), without the extra lift (which I would add to either), and without the other doodads that come with the Pro.

I feel the $41,000 isnt a bad price point compared to what I would spend on the OR to get it where I wanted it. Hell, even if i got them to knock a couple grand off an OR I would still be feeling good about the price difference. If The OR came with a MT and leather option, I would be less inclined... but still a tough decision.

Yeah, and if you call Pizza Hut and ask them if Burger King is worse for you than pizza, they’ll say yes, and tell you to buy their pizza. Lol
