I'm at a toss up between the off-road model and PRO. A dealer close to me will give me 500 over invoice on an off-road, hopefully they could do the same when the PRO comes out. Who is going to wait to get the PRO?

OP, highly unlikely you would get 500 over invoice on the Pro until 2018. Most all new models don't get rebates. I love ny TRD OR.

I have a deposit with my dealer for first allocation at $500 off MSRP. Was happy to get something off.

I'm guessing the dealer doesn't know what the cost is going to be?

I got $1000 off from the dealership on my 2016 on January 9th.... But I also paid out the ass for extra protection and all that stuff... So they made their money back

If its anything like the 4runner TRD pro, these will be going at or close to MSRP for a while. I am considering getting a Tacoma TRD Pro, but not until my 1st gen decides to quit working, which should be at least few years from now. But, good to plan ahead I guess

I have a deposit on th pro. I was planning on waiting until sept. To get a TRDOR but when the pro came out it checked off all the things I wanted. Just hoping the dealer can get a manual cement for me.

Do you think dealers will have the option to put in a build order or is it just allocation?

The Toyota rep was there when I put down my deposit. It's just allocated, but my offer to purchase specified MT and cement. Dealer can request or trade w other dealers.

if they bring the pro to canada I will be buying.

If they do not, I will go with my first idea of the sport. (OR doesn't come as double cab here)

Damn I am so torn, and not doing too many mods now incase I end up buying a PRO. If its outside my price range than I may switch to 4R PRO

I am pretty sure that I read somewhere that the trd pro will be available in canada.

in March 2017 I will try to buy a 6-sp MT OR AC in Canada. If unsuccessful, I will buy the TRD Pro and compromise what had been up to that point non-negotiable items (access cab, standard bed)

The 4R pro will be more money than the tacoma trd pro.

T4R Pros start at $41,850.00. Really torn with my decisions right now as I'm in the market for one. Buy the 2016 with the current motor/tranny or buy the 2017 with the 3.5, but in the all awesome cement color? We'll have to see if they have different programming on the tranny for 2017.

I thought I read somewhere when the 2nd gen tacomas came out they had a software update for the transmission or something. I am thinking once more people get their hands on a new tacoma that we will see one.

ya probably like the OR, in an access cab only.
or just at a ridiculous price tag

    hopefully not though
when I asked toyota reps at the canadian auto show, group of 4 of them, 3 said they haven't heard anything about it, the 4th asked whats a TRD pro
