It's a ARE CX and I'm extremely satisfied with it. The fit and finish is as close to perfect as you can get and the paint is a perfect match also. The rack is a Yakima aero bar.

I've been slow to embrace this truck because it's so different from what I'm used to. But once I finally got it out of the damn city I began to like it a lot more!

The CX has recessed side windows and the Z doesn't, basically the same top otherwise.20170806_143055.jpg

The camper shells have a Max load rating so I was curious, the ARE sure didn't specify

I think they specify 150-180lbs or so, but there is a sportsman package I think it's called that lets you go up to 400.

Keep in mind lots of people with Leer canopies rated to 100-150 have 2 adults in a RTT.

But you are going to want bed stiffeners.

I think they are rated so low because the forces when driving are quite dynamic and it would be hard for them to specify what material and what conditions would be appropriate so they just give you something low.

I'm still trying to decide brand/model, but pretty soon I plan to go see all 3 makes (Snugtop, Leer & ARE) in person and will probably make my decision based on the best dealer. Seems there are lots of people happy with all 3 brands. The CX is sure high up my list though.

Going through all these pictures and posts makes me even more impatient for the arrival of my PRO. Dealership has told me it will arrive late August/early September. I put down for it back in early June :frusty: :turtleride:

I put down a deposit on 7/18. All I know is that they thought it would be 4 to 6 months. Haven't heard anything since. Obviously I'm looking at an '18.

Well damn. I don't blame you. I lucked out in that someone had just backed out of a white one, so it was available. One of the last coming to the island for the year if memory serves me. I can't imagine a 4-6 month wait though.

I absolutely am loving my new TRD pro as well. I got it about a month and a half ago and I love driving it so much more than my Ford! I can't wait to do some small upgrades to it, but in general it is exactly what I wanted in a truck.
