All, I have been considering some BFG's for my Tacoma. I am not sure if I should upsize or stick with stock tire size. I don't care about MPG's. Its more about the look. When the wheel well is too full it looks cheesy to me so I am undecided.

Anyone have some photos of upsize versus stock tires size on a TRD Sport?

    Thanks!

FYI, there are LOTS of tire threads on the forum. Go check out the wheels and tires section.

But to answer your question the stock size is pretty much the biggest tire you can get without worry of any rubbing in any situation. With some trimming you can stuff a 275/70r17 or a 255/80r17. Anything larger than that would require a cab mount chop and a substantial amount of trimming if you don't want to worry about rubbing while flexing your suspension

Perfect! That looks awesome. Same color as mine too. Can you confirm the size? Nice work. Thank you.

Heres 265/70r17's. 1" taller than stock and I rubbed with no lift just barely on the plastic by the firewall under partial lock during suspension compression. Theres more pics in my build thread with it lifted and other mods.

265/70/17 I think it's definitely the way to go.

I wasn't sure how the bronze would loo on the MGM, but that's hot.

I didnt think I would like it but I found another member who had done this color setup. Used a pic of his truck as my desktop background for a couple months and liked it more every day. I knew I wanted something besides black and never thought I would buy bronze wheels. I'm happy every time I see my truck minus all the damage the wheels have taken in 9 months.

Went with 265/70R17 with mine on a stock lift, I have a little rubbing on the plastics, but its not a big issue
