    The problem is attempting to trade it in after all that’s been wrong with it and not be upside down on it.

    That's understandable. Although, I'd probably be willing to take a small loss if I had to. Only you can make that decision.

    At this point. Yes. I’d definitely be okay with taking a little bit of a loss so I can have a truck that actually works.

    The truck has a value that may be higher than what that dealership is willing to give knowing the history. Trailer it to another dealership out of sight. Get it started started clear any codes.
    Funny side story back in 76 I knew a guy who bought a couple month old sharif's car that went up in flames after the he cat caused a fire in dry grass paid 500 for the shell, this before salvage titles took out a 4500 loan out using it for collateral and didn't make a payment. The bank was a little surprised when they came to repossessed it.
