So yea, we traded our quicksand 17 longbed 4x4 offroad for a cement shortbed 2018. Both 4x4 offroads w sunroof jbl package... Mostly wanted the concrete color initially but was not interested in the pro. Very frustrating when I saw it at the dealer but hey at least now we have leather seats!

So far some good improvements we have noticed... the passenger side all weather floormats now have the anti slip knobs... the radar in the grill is sweet.

Anyone see a difference in the jbl sound system? The 2018 sucks compared to the 17. Wondering if its got a issue or maybe the dealer tried to pull a fast one. Purchased at different dealers.

    Anyone else notice any differences?
Still trying to figure out what the camera on the windshield is for. Guess Ill read the manual!

If it's similar to my wife's Prius with TSS, the camera is actually oncoming head lamp detector so when your brights are on at night it automatically shuts off so oncoming traffic doesn't flip you the finger

Have you tried adjusting the sound settings aka bass, treble etc ? Maybe you adjusted your previous one and forgot about it. Shouldn't be worst.

Love the husky mats. Had them in my 06 Tacoma I just traded in, and they held up fine. Now have them in my 17 Tacoma.

Don’t judge a new stereo until you give it a week or two to burn in. New stereos are harsh and bright for a while because the electronics (specifically capacitors) have not yet stabilized, and the speakers have not yet seated themselves and loosened up.

Some audiophile types will Pump pink noise through there stereo for a few days before judging any changes etc.

    Likely give it time.

Here’s 8 hours of pink noise to burn in your JBL. Just Bluetooth it from your phone overnight, (and run out to your truck every 15 minutes to reset the accessory auto-off o_O )
